We stayed we liked it so much. This day we rented a golf cart and explored the beaches. Beautiful and deserted beaches.
We went back to the government dock where those guys were making conch salad and found this guy. This old pelican was just hanging out on the dock. Ivy named him bill. Ivy took these pictures, except for the last one, which I took.
It was kinda an overcast day for the most part- thankfully since when the sun came out it was so hot we had to hide in the water. Ivy, Debby and I exfoliated our skin with the coarse white sand while Runyon snorkeled out in the reef.
We traveled on this dirt road to the beach.
Anyone know what kind of bird this is? None of us had seen it before.
After our beach trip, on the way back to town. It started pouring down rain. At first it was fun, Ivy and I rinsed all the salt water off and washed our sandy feet and sandals in the puddles in the road. But then the rain would stop and it cold and while we drove it got cold and the rain was fat and really pelting down on us. So we stopped at the Leeward Yacht club which just happened to be on our way. We ordered some pina coladas at the pool side bar, only to discover that the mosquitoes had already discovered this nice cover from the rain and were eating this poor family hiding inside as well. Luckily the pool was warm from the sun all day and we hide in the pool up to our neck from the mostiqutoes and the cold rain drinking our pina coladas, shielding them from getting watered down.
Once the rain let up- and we had finished our drinks. We ran back to the golf cart to escape the vicious bugs. Back to our dingy where we pumped out the water that had collected in the rain as we motored back to the safety of the boat. We were all pretty wiped out and took it easy that night.
